Cats are far from insipid, they really are,
They roll on the roofs, that’s like a car,
On the tin, heated roofs, and on the muddy floors,
Suckling and close to the heated oars.
They have one, but a ravishing tail,
They have paws, instead of prominent nails.
They stand in the penetrating rain,
Stretching out their supple back and swishing on the heap of grain.
Presumptuously, walking on the red velvet carpet,
With sweetness and softness touch in every step,
The cats, who’re naïve but smart,
They are nothing, but our life’s part.
But go pinch their tail or kick them strong,
They’ll surely not bear and get you wrong,
Treat them with a succulent piece of meat,
If you do, then you’ll achieve the feat,
Of training your sporty or plump cat,
May it be ravishing, ugly, or fat.
They often yell at their comrades,
And can find them perplexed on a few days,
They look at the twilight, the sun so high,
And let out a wail, showing relief in a sigh,
And revel themselves by the embers, May it be of coal or timber.
You may think cats are insipid,
But you are wrong, what you did,
Cats are provided by providence, And are free to jump over the fence, So suckle them and stroke their ravishing back, But make sure, they don’t give you a penetrate thwack!
